We had lots of fun in Forest Schools this week. We went to explore first of all and then stopped when we heard our call

‘One, two, three where are you?’

The children replied, ‘One, two, three, we’re here!’

We sat down in our log circle and talked about how the environment is changing. So many of the trees have lost their leaves now! We looked for branches that had ‘fingers’ like hands and then we started some twig weaving. We got different coloured lengths of wool and wound them in between the ‘fingers’. They looked super. We stopped and sat in our circle again and decided that we could weave things into the wool…leaves, cones, more twigs…….we made some beautiful creations which we then took home to share.

It really is astonishing what you can do with twigs!
