Baking with Class 2

I visited Class 2 recently…what a busy classroom!

First of all the children were doing ‘Guided Reading’ and I had the pleasure of listening to a child read.
Next, there was lots of excitement as the children had the opportunity to bake gingerbread men and create recipe books in the shape of a gingerbread man.

It was great to see them understand that you had to look carefully at the instructions when following a recipe and that the instructions had to be in the right order.

I had to leave before the gingerbread men were baked but I’m sure they were much enjoyed by the children.
