Our christmas so far…

This first Christmas is so important for our class 1 children (along with reception in class 2) because it is your first in school. This is such a beautiful time!

We had Miss Sawyer, along with some others teachers (and whole school in general) pull together for a grown up and lovely Christmas dinner last week.

We did ourselves proud in the Nativity last week too. We started strong, and even though, after FOUR performances, our budding stars were still dancing and singing in the end. Thank you all for making it what it was!
Just think, some of you will have the chance of having some main parts in the next couple of years. Imagine!

Our santas workshop has been busy and I think you’ll agree our tree and decorations have given us a festive boost! Those playdough cookies have been going down a treat too…

We had great fun during wind play outside, making the most of learning and using the elements as a way of exploring our world and how it feels sometimes…

There’s been lots of writing lately, more than ever and we can’t tell you how proud we are of your ever improving skills. All of you are committed to learning to write your names on a morning and this is reallllly paying off.

We enjoyed making some really cool christmas party hats today across class 1 & 2 and we can’t wait to see you all wearing them tomorrow at our christmas party….get your happy hands and dancing shoes ready… we’re going to ‘get our groove on’!!! 🙂

More than anything, it’s so very clear to see that each and every child has made some massive steps with your small feet this term. You are each using the provision areas well and being so independent and creative with your learning. Keep asking questions everyone…

And we’ll look forward to putting some of your ideas for our next topic (‘Winter’) into practise next term.

Ho, ho, ho…..

Class 1 ….and SANTA! 😉
