In Key Stage 2 this half term, we are learning all about the Ancient Egyptians. We kicked off our learning journey with some exciting drama workshops, lead by the fantastic Mud Pie Arts, which were based upon the brilliant Egyptology book by Dugald Steer. Each class was transported back to 1926, exploring the desert with amateur archaeologist Emily Sands in search for the lost tomb of Osiris.

We all became explorers embarking on an expedition, uncovering some key details about Emily Sands’ journey to find the lost tomb and considering what may have happened to her…as she has never been seen since! Each class delved deeper into this mystery thanks to these workshops full of drama and discovery and since then, we have been exploring Emily’s story in more detail in our classes.
