On Monday 24th March, Park Grove travelled to Dunnington Primary School for their next league fixture. In near perfect sunny conditions, Park Grove started slowly and Dunnington’s excellent accuracy in front of goal resulted in a 3-0 scoreline to Dunnington at half time.

Park Grove showed a lot more fight after the half time break despite conceding another goal on the counter attack early in the half. A more positive and direct approach was rewarded when a slalom run from Alfie Stewart allowed Robby Butler to side foot home from 10 yards. This goal was Robby’s fourth in five games. Dunnington scored a fifth with the help of a deflection to make the final score Dunnington 5 Park Grove 1.

Star players were Morgan Zareeba-Wynne who made several outstanding saves and Jacob Martindale’s energetic and positive display was a catalyst for the much improved Park Grove performance in the second half.
