Homework for the week beginning 11th November

Week beginning Monday 11th November
English
In English we will be talking about robots and reading some robot stories. Do you have any at home we could share please? (named for their safe return) Keep practising the phonemes you know so far. We’re starting to learn some new ones this week in the next phase of our phonics work.
Maths
In maths we will be continuing to look at money. We’ve enjoyed using it in our role play area, pretending to buy and sell our toys. You could play games like this at home. We will also be looking at and naming 2D and 3D shapes. In our number work we will be introducing subtraction. You could try some practical examples of ‘taking away’.
Topic
We really enjoyed meeting your favourite toys. If you didn’t bring one in you can still do this. We will be making robots with the junk we have collected so far. Please bring more for our creations and any foil and foil type containers gratefully received.
