Bridge building

As part of our topic Happily Ever After, we built our own bridges like in the Three Billy Goats Gruff! Before we began making them, we discussed what our aim of the investigation was and thought of a prediction of which material we thought would be the strongest and why. We then got into small groups and worked together to create the best bridges we could out of paper, cardboard and wood. It was quite challenging securing all of the materials with sellotape but we didn’t give up! Afterwards, we looked at all our the bridges and tested their strength by placing a car on top…almost all of our bridges stayed up! We’re looking forward to writing up our evaluations next week.
