Hello, my name is Laura Savoia and I have been working as a teaching assistant at Park Grove for 7 years. I was first introduced to Park Grove when my daughter came to Phoenix playgroup, which is attached to the school. When she started in reception, I began to help out at Park Grove on a voluntary basis and also joined the staff at Phoenix. I loved working with the children and decided to retrain as a teaching assistant. Two years ago, I gained HLTA status and now cover PPA time for teachers in two Key Stage 1 classes. I teach Art and French and am so proud of the way our children pick up another language so quickly and with such fabulous French pronunciation!
Mrs Stone and I have recently taken on the joint role of art coordinators for the school, and are looking forward to promoting some fabulous art this year.
Park Grove is a magical and extraordinary school and I love being part of it and making a difference in children’s lives.
In my spare time, I love cooking, reading, music (especially live), play guitar and flute (both equally badly!) and have just taken up running.
