Music Enrichment Day
Posted On 12 Feb 2015
We’ve been very musical this week. Aaron’s Mummy brought lots of students into school and we made music. The first group took us on a musical journey to ‘The hall of The Mountain King’. We listened to a beautiful piece of music by the composer Edvard Grieg. It was a bit like going on a bear hunt! We used our bodies and voices to travel to a cave. It was all about ‘rondo’ form. Amazing!
We had a break from music making before lunch and later played some circle games with a witch’s hat. We sang a lovely call and response song and showed our new class governor, Mrs Kennedy, what talented boys and girls we are. At the end of the day we watched the Year 6s perform a fantastic body percussion piece. What a fabulous day.
Sounds Fabulous!
