Next week

In English next week, we will be continuing our work on instructions and writing instructions of how to create a bridge linked to our Science work. We will also be writing a letter from Goldilocks back to the bears apologising for her actions in their home; the children really enjoyed writing letters last week so we’re looking forward to seeing what they’ll write next! In maths, we will be spending a full week learning about 3D shapes and their properties. By the end of the week, we will be able to name and describe them and apply our knowledge by solving true or false 3D shape problems. On Tuesday afternoon, we will be having a trip to the local library, please see the letter for further details. We desperately need volunteers to very kindly offer to help with this trip from 1pm until 2:30. Please let a member of staff know if you would be able to support us with this! Parents evening will be taking place on Wednesday from 3:50pm-6:20pm and Thursday from 5:00-7:00, please check which time you have been allocated by reading the slip you have had sent home or checking the timetable outside Class 4. It will be yellow groups show and tell next week, the children must bring in their favourite book. Finally, we will break up for half term on Friday 17th February, returning back to school on Monday 27th February.
