English
Next week in English we will be reading the story ‘Maha and the Elephant’ and will be completing writing linked to this inspiring tale.

Spellings
You have been given your spellings on Monday. Please practise them at home and complete the activity set in your homework books. Your spelling homework is checked on Monday too so please bring your book in then and put it in the homework tray in class.

Reading

Please ask an adult to fill in your Reading Record once each week. We will be choosing a Book Worm of the Month next week so try to show us how much you have been reading and you may be chosen for this award in school!

Maths
In maths next week we will be working on times tables and strategies to help you remember them!

You have a further week to fill in and practise your two times tables before we move on to the 10 times tables. Your My Maths homework will also help you with this. Remember that to get on the site the username is: parkgrove and the password is: multiply. You have your own personal log-ins to access your homework tasks which was given to you last week.

Other notes

Next week is Health and Wellbeing Week at Park Grove! We will be taking part in daily exercise in class, making some healthy salad, completing some mindfulness activities and we will vote for our School Councillors on Tuesday. Good luck to those children who have put themselves forward for this and gave a short speech this week to the rest of the class.

On Wednesday we will complete Pedestrian Training so please make sure that you have a coat and are wearing sensible shoes for this.
