Dear Parents and Carers,

I would just like to remind you about two forthcoming outings that parents have been asked to contribute to.

The first is the Key Stage 1 trip to Whitby, which is scheduled for the 21st June, only two days away. The cost is just £6 for a memorable day out for the younger children. The PTA will also be contributing by buying ice creams for every child on the trip. Fingers crossed for good weather!

The second is the Key Stage 2 visit to Bootham Crescent Football Ground, which is staggered over the 21st, 25th and 28th of June. The price is only £1.50 for this feast of football, which coincides nicely with the group stage of the FIFA World Cup.

Unfortunately, there is still a shortfall of around £100 for the Whitby outing alone. Last year the school had to pay an unexpected £252 to cover the cost of 20 tickets at £5.25 each for the Chocolate Story trip and 21 tickets at £7.00 each for the Yorkshire Wildlife Park trip, which was subsequently reimbursed by the PTA to protect the school budget. This was not the best use of PTA funds, so, if you haven’t paid for your child’s trip yet and are able to contribute, please ensure payment reaches the school as soon as possible.

Many thanks,

Mark Allison

PTA Co-Treasurer
