Radius and circumference

Today some of the children looked at circles and what the maths words ‘circumference’ and ‘radius’ mean. The children, many for the first time, practised using a compass to draw accurate circles. It’s very tricky making the pencil move around whilst drawing a neat curve! Well done for doing well with this piece of maths equipment!
