School  council minutes

To start the meeting Molly read out the register to check that everybody was here and as a matter of fact everybody was here. A few days ago a letter went out about if  any members of the school council  could come to help at the school council stall and Bo a member of the school council wrote that letter. Nikoo and Sam also wrote a letter to the parents about our pyjama day on Friday to raise money for children in need. Katy made a letter to ask people to bring a donation of sweets to class 8 for the school council stall at the christmas fair. Now Nell was asked to write a blog on putting our names on our school council hat to know whose is whose  and that we do not lose them.A big well done to Alfie for blogging lots over the past few days.

In class 8’s suggestion box they had a suggestion to have a year 6 prom.We decided that it is a thought that the year 6’s should discuss.Class 3 had a suggestion of being able to do loom bands in class and we thought maybe in golden time and that they would have to ask their teacher Miss Plews.Class 4 had that maybe the older year 5s and 6s could read to the younger ones and Miss Sawyer loved that idea and wanted to try and let it happen as soon as possible. Bethany is going to write a letter to Ms Campbell to ask if we could as she is the head of English.Class 9 had that we could do a rugby club and we though that Oliver ,the person who suggested it ,should do a survey on who would like to out of year 5 and 6.

Christmas fair updates are that the letter went out about donations and that we had an amazing banner to show what we are called and we showed that to the P.T.A to show them how big a table we need.

Mr Stoner’s request was that we could make a big display about what the school council think of our school with the core values in the middle and we came up with these:

Brilliant, extraordinary, exciting, caring, imagination, marvellous, entertaining, kind, pretty, eye-catching, outstanding, sharing, colourful, different, friendly, loving, unforgettable, lessons, helpful, fabulous, vibrant, educating, wow!

And that is how good Park Grove and that will be up for every one to see how amazing Park Grove school!

The new school council folder is a work in progress and we are going to start putting in all of our minutes and letters and information. Finally the Any other business we do not have any to day so that is the end of the meeting on the 6th November.
