And the winners are…

Today was the first day of our class marble challenge, and the winners were the green team! Children, have you told everyone at home about our marble challenge? Well done to all the children on the green team, but remember, if you weren’t in the winning team, there’s always chance to win tomorrow, or to win the big prize for the week. Well done also to all the children on the maths area team for winning the tidying up award.

Over the last two days we have been reading Handa’s Surprise in English, about a little girl whose journey to a friend’s house with a tasty basket of fruit does not go quite the way she planned. The children have been practising telling their own stories about a journey. Can you share yours with somebody at home?

Wow! The marble challenge sounds really exciting Mr Baines!

Dear Class 2, we’ve been reading that book too!
It fits in so nicely with our chats about Autumn and Harvest.
We had a super time yesterday in Forest Schools!
We looked for ‘Signs of Autumn’ and found lots of evidence. The weather is certainly changing and so is our environment. The Autumn display in the classroom looks fabulous thanks to all you contributions. We’ve been using magnifying glasses to look at them carefully. Remember it’s our Harvest festival next week. Our songs are making us feel very seasonal indeed. Keep practising at home please! Ms Lamb

    Key Stage 1 choir
Thank you to all those children who came to choir yesterday. We had a really good sing!
Some old, some new, some Harvest songs and some requests.
If you are in Key Stage 1 and Early Years you can come too.
Tuesday lunchtimes. Just watch for the blue flag. Ms Lamb
