My name is Christina Moreton, and I have been a parent Governor at Park Grove since January 2019.
After growing up in Yorkshire I left to go to university in Oxford, and then moved to London where I stayed for 12 years. We recently moved to York with our two girls and I’m so happy to be here in this incredible city. My background is in strategy, mainly working as a consultant for a wide range of organisations from small charities through to multinationals. I spent an interesting period working for the Central Office of Information, supporting Government departments and other public sector organisations with structural, marketing and communications challenges. I then spent a few years working for an innovation consultancy, helping businesses overcome challenges to growth. Much of the work was focussed on talking to people from across the business, and from outside the business to get a wide range of perspectives and new ideas. I’ve always enjoyed working with different teams to tackle problems and build new consensus about the way forward.
My eldest daughter Bella is in Class 1 at Park Grove and I was delighted to have the opportunity to start supporting the school as a Governor. The school immediately struck me as both creative and organised, with committed and passionate staff. I’m keen to help the school go from strength to strength.
