Class poem
Posted On 17 Oct 2013
Today, in English, the Year 1 children in Class 2 wrote an acrostic poem together. The children worked in pairs to write a line for each letter and then we put them together at the end of the lesson. I was very impressed at the descriptions the children came up with (inspired, in part, by one of our favourite class songs!)
Harvest combine harvester
A big, red, clattering combine harvester,
Red colours, red faces, red apples,
Very sunny, very rainy, very autumn,
Eggs from chickens with yellow beaks,
Sleepy animals underground,
Tidying up, combine harvester.
A great first attempt, I hope you’ll agree! Well done to the yellow team for being marble our marble champions today.
