Do you have any thoughts, suggestions or questions about our school that you would like to discuss?
Come to our parent forum meetings – speak to other parents in an informal atmosphere, tea and coffee available, pre-schoolers welcome.

Our parent forum meets once every half term, with meetings taking place during the day and during the evenings.  It is run by parents, for parents.

Our Next Meeting is – Friday 18 March, 9am, Boardroom

As well as all the other ways that the school communicates with parents, a forum offers a way for people to get involved, ask questions and discuss subjects about the school, in an informal atmosphere with other parents.

In particular, a forum can offer the opportunity to talk about “whole school” issues that parents may feel are not appropriate to discuss with individual members of staff.   Previous issues discussed have included music provision in school, crossing Huntington Road and climbing trees!

A forum can also offer the school and governors a way of consulting parents as a group, so it can be a two-way channel of communication.

In the past, the Parent Forum was consulted on and helped with the school travel plan and also the new school dinner arrangements.

The forum is chaired by a  parent who is also a Governor, so this means that the forum will be reported back on to the governing body.
