We’ve been working hard on our written methods for multiplication and division this week. Can you blog some multiplication and division word problems for us to solve in class?

A word problem:

Jennifer went to the shop with £5. She bought 9 apples costing 15p each and 7 oranges costing 20p each. How much did she spend and how much change did she receive?

Bertha and her other 875 mates set off to Africa in groups of 6 from Oxfam. Though, how many goats were in each group?

Extension
For the next delivery to Africa, Oxfam took 986 groups with 9 goats in every group, but how many goats were there altogether?
