Blast off!
Posted On 10 Dec 2015
Yesterday classes 5 and 6 made film canister rockets (using water and Alka Seltza tablets too) to demonstrate how a real rocket launches and defies the pull of gravity.
There were many cheers on the upstairs landing as our rockets flew up to the high ceiling (almost touching it)!
We found out that one and a quarter tablets was the best amount to produce the quickest launch.
We linked our learning in with forces and with Tim Peake’s imminent launch to the ISS next week on the Soyuz rocket.
Miss Land.
