Counting!

Every day the class and I all practise counting up and down in 2s, 5s and 10s! However, I don’t lead the counting, the children do and I think they may do a better job than me. Keep practising counting Class 3 and finding 10 more/less than any given number (up to 100).

Reflections…

On Monday afternoon we learnt about how light is reflected and used our super understanding of reflection to create a working periscope!  The children also reflected on our learning to explain how the periscope allows us to see objects we would not usually be able to see.

Money games

We have enjoyed playing a maths game that helps us add up amounts of money quickly and estimate amounts too. The children were shown varying amounts of British coins and had 5-7 seconds to estimate or calculate the amount mentally. We really improved the more we did this! It was great fun.
