Time telling

Today we practised our time telling skills by looking at clock hands closely on a sheet and writing the time underneath. When we finished, we applied our skills through different games. Here’s one of us choosing a time flash card and showing it using the big clock!

Map skills 

On Tuesday we completed some geography work on a map of the world. We had to identify and locate a range of countries on different continents. To help us we used atlases and globes carefully.

Olympic Biographies

The children have researched a famous Olympian and will write a biography about their athlete. The children remembered the features of biographical writing well as they looked at it earlier on this year during our space topic.

Class 8 Catchathon!

On Monday afternoon, Class 8 took part in the highly anticipated “Class 8 Catchathon competition” as part of fundraising week at Park Grove School. Cooking…

On Monday morning, the children in pairs cooked “Sole al Mare” which is an Italian twist on the classic dish egg-stuffed tomatoes. I was very impressed with the culinary skills on show, particularly the attention to detail to make the dish look aesthically pleasing as well as tasty!
