Battle of Marathon…

This week we have learnt about the very famous “Battle of Marathon” in our topic lesson. We’ve started to write about this battle in the form of a recount from the perspective of an important eye-witness at the battle.

I enjoyed this lesson as I haven’t done a recount in a long time. I also learnt lots of new things – I had never heard of the Battle of Marothon and now I know the entire story.

The battle was quite interesting. But the difference of deaths… I think 600 Athenians died and like, 3000 Persians died? What a difference!
