Christian teaching

We have been looking at the teachings of Jesus in RE this term. After hearing The Story of the Prodigal Son before the holiday, the children talked today about empathy, compassion and forgiveness. Some brave children in our class shared recent examples in their lives where they made the wrong choice. We discussed what they did and why, what the outcome was and how forgiveness had been given to them. The children then acted out other dilemmas and showed compassion in the resolution of them. The children made really excellent choices in their drama work and took responsibility for their actions in role.
