A huge thank you for all of your support at the Christmas Fair last night – especially to the volunteers!! Wow, what a busy atmospheric night it was. It was lovely walking around with the Christmas music playing, especially the live brass band which brought a smile to people’s faces. With the added smell of mulled wine and others smells from the stalls, it really ‘began to feel a lot like Christmas’.
A big thank you to the staff who, despite being on their knees, worked tirelessly and cheerfully throughout the evening.
Well done to the ‘Narnia’ team who turned a small idea into a magical ‘Winter Wonderland’ – Mr Stoner, Mrs Stone, Ms Savoia, Sophie Louise Humphreys, Tina Wright (from York Theatre Royal for her recording) and Clare & James Palmer from Unconventional Design.
I truly believe that very few schools in York would have the vision, creativity, PTA funding and perseverance to be able to build something as amazing as Narnia. Narnia is now staying in place and will create lots of future enjoyment and imagination for everyone.
A big thank you to Santa who set up his grotto via Narnia and patiently saw hundreds of families!
