Week beginning 27^th January

English

We will continue to look at the layout of a non-fiction page. We will use all the facts we have learnt about rainforest animals to create our own non-fiction page.

Maths

In Maths this week we will be looking at different number sequences. The children will have to describe these sequences and extend them by adding the next few numbers. Can you think of your own number sequences and bring them in to share in class? We will also be thinking about repeated addition and arrays as a method to find the answer to multiplication calculations. In addition to this, we will reinforce our telling the time to o’clock, half past, quarter to and quarter past. There may also be some challenges in there too! Write a list of important times in your day, what time do you wake up? What time do you set off for school?

Topic

We will be looking at goals and thinking about our own.

We will also be learning about plants in the rainforest and learning about the environment in the different layers. Can you find out about an exotic plant which lives in the rainforest?

Other Notes

Please ensure that all children have a full PE kit. A named white t-shirt, shorts and plimsolls.

It is very cold at the moment so please could all children bring coats, gloves and scarves to keep warm.
