Class 9 debate: Should animals be kept in zoos?

In English, we’ve extended our skills in creating balanced arguments and thinking of for and against statements by staging our own class debate about a very important topic: should animals be kept in zoos?

We had two teams – the ‘for’ team, who had to agree with this, and the ‘against’ team who had to disagree. It was very interesting as some people had to put their own opinions and feelings aside to think of effective, persuasive arguments for their team!

It was  a close call, with some fantastic debating, counter arguments and persuasive features used to create very effective and convincing arguments. Well done class 9!
