Class 6 learnt about democracy in Ancient Greece and how the system worked. They then discussed how democracy works in the UK today.

The children were asked if they should have the chance to vote in elections which brought about a very interesting discussion!

Finally the children learnt about the European Union and carried out a mock vote as to wether the UK should stay or leave. Our results were:

75% of children voted to stay in the EU; 25% of children voted to leave the EU.

We enjoyed learning about democracy and having the chance to vote ourselves!
