My name is Emma Booth and I have lived in York all of my life. I enjoy art, music and exploring new places. I have been a Teaching Assistant at Park Grove Primary Academy since the start of the September 2024 term, previously I worked at another school within the Ebor family. I have two children and live locally.
I have had a varied career which includes running my own business, working in the NHS, a law firm and being a civil servant for 10 years. I became a Teaching Assistant after a chance meeting in the park with a friend who told me about her new job in a school, and that she thought that I would enjoy it also. I studied and gained my Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and was lucky enough to gain employment at a local school.
I can honestly say that working with children, helping them to reach their potential and thrive is the most rewarding job, I feel fortunate to be able to work with all of the wonderful children and staff at Park Grove.
