All of the children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 have been involved in a drama workshop run by Thea Jacob this week about flooding. We loved having the opportunity to discuss flooding including why it happens, who can help us when it floods and what we can do to stay safe and be prepared for floods. Everyone showed amazing role playing skills as they developed the story. Our roles included weather reporters, fire fighters and even  the prime minister sending the army troops to help.

Two representatives from the Environment Agency also helped us to understand how to feel confident and safe in a time of flooding and what we can do to prepare ourselves if there is a flood risk. The enthusiasm and knowledge of the children was outstanding and demonstrated the impact that flooding has had on many families in Park Grove but also showed the positive attitude and resilience of the children.
