For the next two weeks we will be learning about stories written by Allan Ahlberg and this week we are reading Funny Bones! In English, we read Bumps In The Night which was a story about how the skeletons frequently bumped into each other and injured themselves! Afterwards, we were given a picture of our own skeleton to think of our own reason of why they may have had a bump in the night. To do this, we circled and labelled a part of the body then wrote an explanation underneath about how it had happened. At the end of the lesson, we read out our work and the rest of the class had to point to the part of the body which they had injured. What a lot of fun! We’re looking forward to reading The Ghost Train next.
