English

In English we will continue to look at stories from other cultures and stories that have patterns within the language. We will focus on a story called ‘The Hunter’ and use adjectives and connectives to explore the setting and characters feelings. In addition to this, we will use role play to understand the story in more detail. We are looking forward to our trip and will have a go at writing an information text about toys when we get back! Can you find out information about your favourite toys? Do you have any books set in different cultures? Bring them in to share with us!

Maths

This week will be focussing on division and working out division problems by sharing into equal groups. Can you count out asset of objects and try to divide it in different ways? Try the number 24 – there are lots of ways to divide 24 equally. We will also be sorting objects into different categories using diagrams to represent the results.

Topic

Please continue to talk to your parents and grandparents about their favourite toys. May be you could draw a picture of them and write a few sentences then bring your work in for our homework board.

Please remember to keep blogging – www.parkgroveprimary.co.uk

Please remember it is our trip to York Castle Museum on Tuesday, the children will need a packed lunch and suitable clothing in case it rains. Thank you!
