We’ve recently been thinking about important objects in our lives and comparing these to important artefacts in religion such as the Bible and the cross. We explored the Jewish religion and learnt about the six important artefacts: the kippah, the Torah, the tallit, the tefillin, the mezuzah scroll and the menorah. The children found it really interesting and lots of them could independently name the artefacts and explain their importance. We found the Torah particularly fascinating… We were shocked at how long it was!
