The children in Year 3 have been learning about the law today and how we, in the UK, deal with criminals. At the start of the day we learnt lots of new vocabulary, including ‘defence’ and ‘prosecution’. We then played bingo with these words and definitions. Next we shared ideas for what we think criminals and victims look like and then we played wink murder together.
To help us understand the different types of crimes and their punishments we had to create a poster about a crime in our groups. We then shared these with the rest of the class. In the afternoon we used role play to act out different types of crimes. We had to explain through role play, what we were acting and include the consequences or punishments.
