Lucy Hemsley (Teacher)

Hi, my name is Lucy Hemsley. I joined the Park Grove team in 2023 after spending 2 terms here during my training year. I was thrilled to begin my career in such an inclusive, creative and inspiring environment. I am originally from London but moved to the North for University where I studied Dance practices. As a creative individual I have a passion for all of the arts but I also have a keen interest in all subjects, and this is something I like to encourage within my classroom. I am a big believer in creating a team atmosphere where all children’s views and beliefs are respected. I will always try to make learning as engaging as possible, giving children memorable experiences that solidifies knowledge.

Outside of work, I am a bit of an adrenaline junky and am always up for trying new things. I have been on a hot air balloon ride, cliff jumping and even skydiving! This ‘try everything’ motto led me to join the downhill ski team at University after years of family skiing holidays, become president of the club and lead our team to be regional champions! I hope to spare the passion of giving everything a go with the children of Park Grove and help create happy memories just like my own teachers did during my time at school.
