Today the children have been completing a range of different activities that all relate to maths! They’ve created animals using a repeated pattern as a design for their bodies.
The children then read a story called Centipede’s 100 Shoes. As an activity, the children had to share 58 shoes between different minibeasts making sure no shoes were left!
In the afternoon the children read a story called The Bad-Tempered Lady Bird which involved different events that were sequenced chronologically. The children then created their own story about a bad tempered minibeasts and had to include the exact time that it met a new animal.
We rounded the day off by having a singing assembly with songs all about maths!
