Maths Enrichment Day

On Tuesday we learnt about maths all day as it was our enrichment day. We started with a story about a centipede with lots and lots of shoes and practised our counting and grouping. We then read about a swarm of hungry ants and tried to get ourselves into groups of 2s, 5s and 10s.
In the afternoon we sang lots of maths songs such as the doubling machine (our favourite!) We then used our numicon pieces to print a symmetrical pattern on a butterfly and count the number of spots. It was a great maths filled day!
