Measuring biggest to smallest

In our Maths groups we ordered pieces of string by length. We decided which was the biggest and which was the smallest. We then measured the length of the string using a ruler. To measure correctly we made sure the string was straight before we measured. Finally we put the whole class in order by the biggest child and the smallest child. Great fun!
