moab (2a‘Mike on a Bike’ made his exclusive appearance today. He was serenaded, paraded and waded in at the deep end to promote his good cause! Not many biking professionals would be happy at being elevated on some staging, a static turbo charger slapped on to your back wheel and then told to pedal as if your life depended on it.

Mike must have cycled a good portion of his route there and then. In fact he was so impressed by the turbo trainer (kindly loaned from ‘Giant’ on Lord Mayor’s Walk), Mike on a Bike may well turn this into a 24/7 activity. What a fantastic pre Summer Fair event it was. It got us all into the Tour De France mood. The children were excited to see Mike pedalling away, intrigued how he could do this on the spot and also excited that he is fund raising for both Park Grove’s PTA fund and Parkinson’s UK. A sweet group of young children spontaneously started dancing in a circle to the French/bike themed music. The PTA committee were on hand selling tickets and promoting the fair. Staff, children, parents alike were gathered around enjoying the atmosphere and event. It was one of those superb events that Park Grove is so unique in creating, where the whole school magnetically comes together to celebrate an occasion. The overall feeling of community and belonging is very strong and exciting. We wish you great success ‘Mike on your Bike’ and thank you for such a great visit today!
