Business

Register of attendees

Holly made a note of those present.

Profile update

It was mentioned that all the children’s School Council profiles had been done and agreed that Holly and Toby would type them up.

Tuck shop rota

It was mentioned that every child who is a School Council member should look on the school website to find out when it is their turn to do the tuck shop, or get photocopies. It was also mentioned that class 6 will do it this week.

 Blogs

It was discussed that the Chief-bloggers need to write down their ideas on the website and that the Vice-chair and Chair of the School Council need the password for the website. It was mentioned that children should try to respond to blogs, particularly the School Council and sports blogs.

Christmas fayre ideas

Katerina suggested that the school could do “hook a Christmas tree” stall instead of “hook a duck”.

Katie suggested that children could make objects to sell.

Travis asked if the school could sell snow globes.

Fletcher asked if we could do a craft-themed stall.

Mani asked if we could have a Christmas cracker competition on one of the stalls.

Manon asked if we could have a “stuff a toy” stall.

It was mentioned that Toby had a popcorn machine and that he would write a letter to every chid in school asking if they would make a Christmas cone and bring it in.

Olivia suggested that we could sell candy canes on the “School Council popcorn and candy takeaway”.

It was also mentioned that Holly had a candy grabber, which the school could use to put on the same stall as the popcorn machine.

Miss Sawyer suggested that every child in the school could bring in an empty jam jar and fill it up with whatever the child wants. Then the school can sell them for £1.00 each.

Holly said that she will write a letter to every child in the school about the jam jars.

It was said that Katie will buy the school some big bags of popcorn and that she will write a letter to every child in the school saying about the dates of the fayre.

It was also said that William will draw out a plan for the “School Council popcorn and candy takeaway”.

It was mentioned that Mani’s mum could possibly make some of the popcorn.

Any other business

Children were reminded to blog.
