This week we went on a texture trail. We used our sense of touch to explore and find as many different textures as we could.
We looked at tree bark and discovered that some bark is quite smooth but other trees have very coarse, bumpy, sharp bark.
We found the same with leaves. Evergreen leaves can be very shiny and smooth while leaves from deciduous trees are like frail, lacy skeletons. Amazing! Just look at the pictures to see the evidence.
