This week, the Year 5/6 children worked in four expert teams to research different eras - Paleozoic, Mesozoic, Cenozoic and Modern. They then used their findings to create a fantastic class timeline! 🐟🦖🐘📱
Our Young Voices Choir had an unforgettable night performing at Young Voices, filling the arena with incredible energy and singing. We are so proud of their hard work and the way they represented our school in such a spectacular show! 🎶🌟
Our new English immersion in Key Stage 1 has been an exciting train journey down to London followed by a scavenger hunt for different landmarks! 🚂🎡🛤️
Blue class this week have been enjoying the new books they chose from the money raised from the Book Fair!
As part of Indigo’s PSHE this half term, they have been looking at how to be a kind and respectful member of the community. To practice this skills, the children took part in 3 acts of kindness:
1. Making bird feeders for the winter months
2. Writing thank you cards to NHS staff at York Hospital
3. Donating to a food bank- which this managed to do in a huge way!
We are so impressed by their acts of kindness and know they will keep it up!
Friday Singalong! A little sunshine to brighten up this cold, dark January ☀️ #PGMusic
In geography this week, Indigo, Magenta and Turquoise used oranges to represent the Earth. By drawing and peeling the "crust," they got a hands-on look at how tectonic plates fit together! 🌍
Yesterday in Key Stage 1 and Early Years we had our topic ignition for Food Glorious Food! We moved between classrooms to sample food from England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland. It was great fun and very delicious 😋
