We will be starting our DT sewing project next week, starting with designing a model for a minibeast. Also, we will naming different plants and trees in science.

The children have throughly enjoyed reading The owl who is afraid of the dark’ by Jill Tomlinson and discovered lots of wonderful similes. Our Exciting writing will focus on writing a book review and giving the book a rating out of 10! We will then feel very inspired to write our own story about a duck who is afraid of the water.

In maths we will be exploring length and weight using standard units.

The children love our areas of provision and our minibeast garden is full of exciting creatures. The Reception children will also explore the lifecycle of a butterfly and make a folding book to show each stage. They will be measuring lots of minibeasts and making a habitat.

P.E is athletics and will cover jumping and throwing skills. In R.E we are looking at religious artefacts and how they are used.

Big Pedal!

On Monday we are asking as many children and staff to come to school on a bike. Please encourage your child to dig out their bike and get pedalling. Thank you.
