Next Week in Class 8
English
Next week in English we will be delving deeper into Greek Mythology by planning, writing and editing our own Greek myth.
Spellings
This week we looked at the different ways hyphens are used to make writing clear.
Please can you write each of the hyphenated words from your spelling list in a sentence that makes sense and practise them for next Friday 22nd April.
Maths
In maths next week we will be illustrating and naming parts of a circle and using formulae to find the area and the circumference of a circle.
Other Notes
Please remember Monday is the Big Pedal 2016 competition. We will be competing to become one of the UK’s top schools for two-wheeled journeys and will be in with a chance to win prizes. All you need to do is to cycle or scoot to school on this day. Journeys made by parents, guardians and siblings are also eligible for prizes.
Class 8 will be taking part in a fun music workshop next Tuesday afternoon.
Park Grove’s football team will have their last league match on Monday against New Earswick at home, with a kick-off time of 4:00pm. The team have won all seven league matches so far this season. Please come along to support the team if you can.
