A big welcome back from the PTA! We hope you all had a good Easter. We have all had emails, letters etc today from Park Grove about the imminent Ofsted visit tommorrow. For the staff, it must feel a bit like hitting the ground 60mph running and we wish them all the best!! This quote from Obama is very apt as there is a strong message in there for this week at school. Although on one hand, Ofsted will come with their own criteria etc and make their decision accordingly. On the other hand, everyone of us can still help to make a huge difference – Here are some ways how:

Please complete the Parent Survey if you haven’t done so already – Ofsted will read this before they start their inspection. You are welcome to update the survey if you did it previously.

Pleeeease get your child(ren) to complete the Children’s questionnaire tonight (details were emailed out this afternoon)

Could you talk to your children and discuss what Ofsted is about (and it’s importance) so that the children are fully prepared etc

Inspectors will want to talk to parents/carers on the school run so perhaps think of some comments if you are approached

If you do have any issues about the school, then please consider if they are something that can be solved ‘in house’ – e.g. are these issues relevant to an Ofsted inspection?.

The PTA committee are often in and around school during the school day – the amount of care, empathy and love the staff have for the children is outstanding. The staff are not machines and we need to make Ofsted remember that!

Please send positive vibes or feel free to post comments/questions back.

Fingers crossed for a ‘GOOD’ or even ‘OUTSTANDING’ result. Every single one of us deserves this as this is our children’s future.
