As we will be learning all about the Second World War in our topic lessons this half term, we have begun reading stories about this period. Our English lessons so far have been based on ‘The Lion and the Unicorn’ by Shirley Hughes and we’ll be moving on to studying ‘Carrie’s War’ by Nina Bawden in the coming weeks.
