Should animals be kept in zoos?

This morning, we had a very exciting class debate using our vast knowledge of persuasive language to argue whether animals should or should not be kept in zoos. It was a very exciting debate with both sides of the argument being really well-presented. Ultimately, the panel, consisting of Mr Mastrelli and Louie Powell, decided that the argument for animals being kept in zoos was the most persuasive!

I enjoyed this lesson because even if you don’t agree with what your arguing against or for you still have to try to find some reasons for your side.

I enjoyed this lesson because it was fun finding the facts and counteracting our opposition’s statements.

I think animals should be kept in zoos as otherwise they could cause harm to human-beings.

I think they should be kept in the wild because when they are catching their pray they are getting exercise as well as their protein because in zoo’s they just get given their food and they might not get as much exercise as they would in the wild.

I think that animals shouldn’t e kept in zoos because they need to have space to roam around in but I really enjoyed the lesson :0)
