Speeches…

While the Year 6’s have been busy rehearsing for their end of year play, the Year 5’s have been reading more of the story “The Adventures of Odysseus”. Their task on Monday morning was to write and perform a speech in pairs from the viewpoint of Eurylochus describing his anger and frustration towards Odysseus at his inept leadership of their voyage. I was really impressed at the range of examples used from the text to make their viewpoint more convincing as well as the super expression on show from the children when performing their speeches!
I really enjoyed this session and it was very interesting and the classroom was filled with angry voices!!
