Our KS1 classes have hosted ‘Stay and Learn’ phonics sessions for parents this half term. During the sessions parents had the opportunity to see phonics in actions, learn the key terminology and see how the children apply their phonic knowledge in reading and writing. Teachers also shared activities which could be done at home to practise the skills we learn in school.
