Super spectrum spinners!!

Today we had a super fun science lesson all about the visible spectrum. We learnt that light is made up of all the rainbow colours and if you look through a glass prism you can see the visible spectrum.

We then created some awesome colour wheels that when spun really fast, show how the visible spectrum merges to create white light. Look at the video below to see!

Class 9 – why does light show all the colours of the rainbow when you look through a prism? What did you find most interesting about this session?

When the colours of the rainbow merge together it looks like its white. This is why the light we see looks white.
